Features
What Jasper does.
Jasper today is a workspace for marketing teams. More than 100 specialized AI agents handle recurring tasks: a Blog Post agent writes an outline and a full draft, a Pillar Article agent long-form pieces, plus agents for content briefs, content calendars, ads, social media and email. You set up your brand voice, company knowledge and audiences once, and Jasper uses them in every piece.
The Business plan adds a GEO Hub that tracks how ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity present your brand, a builder for your own agents, the API and team features. Usage there is billed in credits on top of the platform fee. The contracting party is Jasper AI, Inc. in the US; by its own account, Jasper has more than 125,000 customers.

Reviews
What users say. Ratings from four platforms.
Jasper has a lot of reviews, but they describe different phases of the product. G2 and Capterra values come from the Google search result; the G2 count covers all Jasper products. On Trustpilot, the latest reviews are mostly about billing and cancellation. The 20 reviews on the German platform OMR Reviews all date from 2022 and 2023, when Jasper still billed by words.

What users like
- Ease of use and templates: intuitive and well structured, according to the OMR Reviews summary and G2 snippets.
- Speed: quick drafts for blog articles, ideas and marketing copy.
- Useful first drafts: users see Jasper as a good starting point they refine themselves.
What users criticize
- Editing needed: texts have to be checked and revised, including for facts. This is the most frequent point in the OMR reviews.
- German copy: several German-language reviews from 2022 call it unnatural at times; there are no newer German reviews.
- Price: criticized as high in the OMR reviews. More than one user today means the Business plan, priced on request.
- Billing: on Trustpilot, most of the latest reviews are about subscriptions, cancellation and charges.

Trustpilot
“Thank you for helping me for quick drafts, but sometimes the outputs feel generic.”
Trustpilot
“I do find that Jasper already delivers a suggestion you can use 80%, and the other 20% is fine-tuning.”
OMR Reviews
“You always have to check the texts anyway, so that nothing factually wrong ends up in them.”

Who it’s for
Who Jasper is a good fit for. And who it isn’t.
A good fit for
- Marketing teams that cover many channels: blog, campaigns, social media, ads, email.
- Larger companies that want brand guidelines, teams, single sign-on and AI visibility in one tool (Business plan).
- Solo marketers who need many formats from one place on the Pro plan.
Less of a fit for
- Teams with several users and a fixed budget: more than one user means the Business plan, with price and credits on request.
- Anyone who wants articles published straight to WordPress: that only works via Zapier on Business.
Claire fits if you mainly want to build a blog and don’t have a large marketing team: Claire finds topics, writes, publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or Shopware after your approval and, on Growth, tracks whether ChatGPT and Google AI mention you, at a fixed price from €199 a month. For campaigns across many channels, Jasper is the broader tool.

Questions
Good to know.
How much does Jasper AI cost per month?
According to the pricing page (as of October 8, 2026), Pro costs $69 a month, or $59 a month billed annually, for one user. Business is priced on request, with usage-based credits for the GEO Hub, the API and some agents.
Is Jasper AI free?
No. There’s a 7-day free trial, which requires a credit card and rolls into a subscription unless cancelled. A GEO diagnostic for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini is free.
What happened to Jasper AI?
Jasper evolved from an AI copywriter with templates into a platform of AI agents for marketing teams. Today it focuses on agents for whole workflows, brand governance and GEO, meaning visibility in AI search. It no longer bills by words but per user, and with credits on the Business plan.
Is Jasper AI still good?
Users still rate it highly on review platforms: 4.8 out of 5 on Capterra (1,855 reviews) and 4.7 on G2 across all Jasper products (as of October 8, 2026). Recent Trustpilot reviews are more critical, mostly about billing. Whether it fits depends on your team: its strengths are many formats and agents, while teams and AI tracking require the Business plan.
Is Jasper AI better than ChatGPT?
For marketing teams, Jasper adds structure: agents for fixed workflows, saved brand voices and audiences, and on Business team permissions and GEO tracking. For single texts, ChatGPT is cheaper, and it has a free plan.
What are the best Jasper AI alternatives?
Writesonic if AI visibility and articles belong together, Surfer for SEO-optimized writing, and neuroflash for German-language marketing copy. If you mainly want to build a blog, Claire finds topics, writes and publishes for you.
How we compared
Method and sources, as of Oct 8, 2026
- Compiled on October 8, 2026 by Claire (wordsmattr GmbH, Vienna). Claire writes articles itself and is therefore not neutral. That’s why every number comes with its source and date, and we also say where other tools fit better.
- Ratings: G2, Capterra, Trustpilot and OMR Reviews (a German software review platform). G2 and Capterra don’t allow automated retrieval. Averages and counts there come from the Google search result for each page; we haven’t read individual reviews there. Strengths and weaknesses rely on the texts on OMR Reviews and Trustpilot.
- Several of these tools repositioned in 2025 and 2026. Many reviews therefore describe an earlier version of the product; where that’s the case, we say so. OMR Reviews labels reviews written after an invitation with a voucher or donation. That says nothing about individual texts, but it can raise the average.
- On Trustpilot, many critical reviews are about subscriptions, cancellation and charges. We mention these topics, but we don’t quote them.
- Reddit: direct retrieval is blocked. We only show the snippets Google Search displays and label them as snippets.
- Prices and features: the vendors’ pricing, product and help pages, retrieved from Europe on the same day. Some vendors show euros or dollars depending on your location. Whether a tool writes full articles, finds topics, publishes to a CMS or tracks AI visibility, we checked on product, integration and help pages. Prices change; the vendor’s own page is binding.
- Quotes: verbatim and shortened, with role, rating and date, without names. Quotes from German-language reviews are our translation and marked as such.
- Not done: our own hands-on test with a trial account, or a comparison of writing samples. Claire itself doesn’t have a profile with reviews on these platforms yet. We review this comparison regularly, at least quarterly.
